One of the newest businesses in town is Beach Bites Tours! With this fun company, you can explore various different restaurants and have a fun shopping experience on a leisurely afternoon.
Along the way, you'll learn of the history that shaped this town and origins of the dishes in this region. You'll hear stories about the fierce Oyster Wars of old and the life of local watermen as they crabbed and fished the Potomac River.
As if all the history and food history isn't enough, you'll get to have a fun retail therapy session at the area's premier gift shop on the boardwalk with beautiful expansive views of the river.
The debut event scheduled for August 20, 2016 sold out quickly and it was a great success. There are two more scheduled during the month of September 2016. To book a spot, call and get yourself (and a friend or two) signed up for a future event.
These walking food tours begin and end at the Museum on Hawthorn Street. There are benches for seating all along the route and at each individual eatery. Plus, the walking is easy. The terrain is flat and there are no hills to conquer.
Tour groups are a good size, with a maximum of ten people on each one. Participants must be age 21 or over.
Gift Certificates are available for purchase. What a great gift idea!
If you have a certain date in mind, private tours are offered, so long as they do not conflict with the regularly scheduled ones on the calendar.
Dietary restrictions can often be accommodated if you simply give word ahead of time about any food allergies you may have.
