Colonial Beach not just in Virginia
While the most well-known Colonial Beach is the one here in Virginia, it shares it's name with some other locations around the globe and in some other states in the U.S.A. Naturally, the one here in Westmoreland County, Virginia is my favorite. It's interesting to see how many namesakes there are.
Casa Colonial Beach & Spa Resort is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic in Puerto Plata. It was designed by Sarah Garcia, daughter of owner Don Isidro Garcia.
In the Bahamas, there's the Best Western British Colonial Beach Resort.
In Mauritius, a property called Colonial Beach Hotel is situated in the small village of Pointe aux Piments on the northwest coast.
