Family Movie NightNOTE: This event will not be taking place in 2010. Family Movie Night takes place in Colonial Beach once a month during the spring and summer months. Town Hill, at the corner of Colonial and Washington Avenues, is the perfect spot for it, with a wide expanse of grassy area for seating and the gentle river breezes blowing to keep folks comfortable. Admission is a bargain at only $5 per person and popcorn and sodas are available for sale as well. You can ride your golf cart over if you want. If not, just bring some lawn chairs or a blanket to spread out and lounge on. Gates usually open a half-hour before the movie starts, typically 7:00 or 7:30pm.
