BBQ Cookoff

The Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes BBQ Cookoff is an annual event in Colonial Beach.

Coming October 4, 2025!

Past winner Roosters Lakeside will be competing again!
Proceeds from the event go toward assisting our local veterans and first responders.

From FFH:
Come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun in the sun at Town Hill in Colonial Beach to taste the most amazing BBQ recipes.

This event is open to the public to have the opportunity taste test all the BBQ teams amazing recipes.
Upon entry we will be accepting donations as you enter the event to help further our cause to support our local veterans and first responders.

Cook Entry Fee is $100.00 per category.
If a BBQ participant decides to enter both categories, they will be required to pay a total of $200.00.
2 Categories : Ribs (no country ribs allowed)
Pork: butt, shoulder or picnic.
BBQ cooks will be allowed on site 24 hours prior to the actual event to prepare their specialty.
All guidelines and rules will be provided for cooks when signing up.
All cooks must be registered and paid by September 4, 2025.
1st place: $1500.00 for each category.
2nd place: $500.00 for each category
3rd place: $250.00 for each category
People’s choice award: $500.00

All vendors must sign up by September 20, 2025

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Location: Town Hill of Colonial Beach on the corner of Colonial and Washington Ave.
Doors open to the public at 12:00 p.m.
BBQ Cooks only: Judging starts: 9:00 a.m.
Winners announced: 3:30 p.m.
DJ on site to play your favorite tunes.
Moon bounces for the kids
Lots of vendors to get all your favorite things.
